Adult Computer Literacy

This is a 6 week training program. No prior computer experience is required.

You will learn:
Microsoft Word I, II, III (3 Classes)
Learn to create documents, format text, work with tabs, use drawing tools, insert clip art, and work with tables, spell check & print options.
Includes an introduction to Windows.

Internet Explorer & Email (2 Classes)
Answer the question - What is the Internet? Work with the Favorites list, surf the Internet, learn how to download files, send Email messages and attachments, access newsgroups and create a free Email account.

Excel I, II, III (3 Classes)
You will learn to create new workbooks, enter data, create formulas, work with functions options, format worksheets, and create budgets and tracking spreadsheets.


Power Point Basics I, II (2 Classes)
Present your ideas with style and flair. Learn to create presentations, work with slides, use templates, add graphics and clip art, select and resize objects and create custom shows with animation and sound.

Graphic Design I, II (2 Classes)
Use the latest digital equipment to create your own unique business essentials such as business cards, fliers and brochures

Intro to Computers

This is a 2 day training workshop. No prior computer knowledge is necessary.

What You Will Learn:

Intro to Windows
Learn to navigate through Microsoft Windows operating system to locate, edit and delete files, change settings using the control panel, use the taskbar, start menu and desktop icons, work in multiple windows for increased efficiencies, install software programs and personalize the windows desktop.

Quick Tech

This is a one-day, two hour workshop. Prior computer knowledge should include basic operation.

What You Learn:
PC M.I.T.
(Computer Maintenance, Software Installation and Troubleshooting)

You will learn how to properly maintain your computer for optimal performance. You will install software on your computer that will increase its functionality and protect it from harmful viruses; you will also perform several troubleshooting techniques to identify common issues with windows based systems.
